Pivovarova Yulia Leonidovna was born in 1966 in Novosibirsk. She studied as a literary critic at the Higher Literary Courses at the Literary Institute. Gorky. She worked as an illuminator at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, a department editor in the Gorozhanka magazine, a correspondent for the Microforum radio program, in the Evening Novosibirsk and Honest Word newspapers. The first publication at the age of thirteen in Siberian Lights (Novosibirsk), then publications in the magazines Yunost (Moscow), Znamya (Moscow), Rechport (Novosibirsk), Khreshchatyk (Kyiv), Delo o Tobacco" (San Francisco), "Vensail" (Vienna), in various almanacs and anthologies. Author of poetry books Shadow Side (Novosibirsk, 1989), Hunter (Moscow, 1993), Noise (Novosibirsk, 2017). Member of the Writers' Union of Russia. Lives in Novosibirsk.
