On the wedding night, the duke comes to the young wife, but after him the king of Navarre visits Margarita, and de Guise hides in the office. Heinrich offers Margo to be allies in all court intrigues, she agrees, and her husband leaves. The Duke also leaves Margarita, breaking off his love relationship with her. Margot spends her wedding night alone, and both her husband and her lover left her alone. The Protestant nobles spend their time in feasts and amusements with the Catholic royal court.
