It seems that the old rules of world politics no longer work today. After Kosovo and the "color revolutions", after the "peace enforcement" of Georgia and the annexation of Crimea to Russia, the political landscape has changed radically. Nobody is ready for the new rules. There aren't any new ones yet. The old ones are no more. Nothing to revise, nothing even to break. One can only guess what the future world will be like. This book is one of the first attempts to comprehend the global political processes of the last few years and outline the possible principles of a new international politics. Leading domestic and foreign experts reflect on the origins of the current situation, discuss the current and future role of Russia on the world stage, determine the priority directions for the development of its policy - in confrontation with the West and (or) in cooperation with it - even if now less and less is believed in the possibility of such cooperation .
