Vladimir Rafailovich Maramzin (Katsnelson, 1934) is a prose writer. In the 1960s he was a member of the literary group "Citizens", participated in the samizdat collection of the same name. In 1971-1974 he compiled the collected works of Joseph Brodsky for samizdat, which was the reason for his arrest. The trial, held in Leningrad in February 1975 and covered by the samizdat Chronicle of Current Events, sentenced Maramzin to five years of probation. Since 1975 in exile. In 1978-1986. Together with Alexei Khvostenko, he published the literary magazine Echo in Paris.
