Biography of Ruth Werner (Ursula Kuczynski), the largest Soviet intelligence officer of the 20th century, German by nationality. Colonel of the GRU and famous writer, radio operator and resident. Ruth Werner, aka "Sonya", began her espionage career under Richard Sorge in China. On the eve of World War II, she created an intelligence network in Switzerland ("Red Chapel") and played an important role in stealing the secrets of the atomic bomb. And this is only part of her combat path. The book uses material from the GRU archive (one of the authors, Colonel Bochkarev, a veteran of the GRU, personally met Ruth Werner in the USSR and in Germany.
