Surikov Vasily Ivanovich (1848-1916) a great Russian artist, one of the most famous historical painters in the world, the author of famous paintings - "Boyar Morozova", "Morning of the Streltsy Execution", "Suvorov Crossing the Alps", "Stepan Razin", " Conquest of Siberia by Yermak”, “Healing of the Blind Man by Jesus Christ”, etc. Member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions; full member of the Academy of Arts (1893); performed monumental paintings on the choirs of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. V.I. died. Surikov March 6, 1916. The book was published on the centenary of his birth. Circulation 5000 copies
