Isaac Rosenberg (1890-1918) - an outstanding English poet. During World War I he fought on the Western Front. Killed at the Battle of Arras. His poems are considered one of the most striking human documents of the past tragedy. The name of Isaac Rozepberg is immortalized on the stone tablets of Westminster Abbey - in the famous corner of the English front-line poets. In Russia, the poet's work remained little known. Translation of military poems by Isaac Rozepberg was first carried out by the St. Petersburg poet and translator Yevgeny Lukin.
