"The Golden Age of Artistic Associations..." opens the series "Reference Books on Russian Art", published by the Chernyshev Publishing House. The book contains numerous material on the history of 400 artistic societies and associations in Russia and the USSR - from the emergence of the St. Petersburg Society for the Encouragement of Artists in 1820 to the dissolution of most artistic associations by resolution of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks on April 23, 1932.
