The chronicle of the Zernov family consists of the memoirs of six of its members, describing the events that took place over the course of half a century in various countries of the Russian diaspora. All members of the Zernov family were well-known and active members of the cultural and social life of the Russian emigration, so the proposed work can rightly be called a chronicle of the Russian emigration. The elder brother - Nikolai Mikhailovich Zernov was a professor at Oxford, did a lot to bring Orthodox and Anglicans closer together, worked with Russian youth, wrote several works, of which the most significant is the work on the Russian revival of the early 20th century. Sofya Mikhailovna Zernova, his sister, thanks to her exceptional energy, created a number of social, charitable and educational institutions and helped many hundreds of Russians in need and difficult circumstances. Maria Mikhailovna Zernova united Russian cultural forces in Geneva, and then in London. The younger brother, Vladimir Mikhailovich Zernov, contributed to Russian medical science abroad.
