Maximilian Aleksandrovich Voloshin is the greatest poet of the first third of the 20th century. At the beginning of his career, he joined the Symbolists, published in the magazines "Balance", "Golden Fleece"; then he actively collaborated in the Apollon magazine.
The poet traveled a lot, lived in Paris for a long time, where he was seriously influenced by the Impressionists. Since 1917, he constantly lived in the Crimea, in Koktebel.
This collection contains poems of the poet dedicated to the events of world and Russian history, revolution and civil war, the past of the eastern Crimea (Cimmeria), its nature.
