Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche is a Buddhist master, poet, artist, founder of the Naropa Institute and Shambhala International Association. Arriving in the West as a teacher of Buddhism and gaining fame and respect in this capacity, however, he felt the need for a non-religious teaching that would be closer and more understandable to modern people and would reflect the conditions of their existence. This is how the Shambhala tradition appeared - the author's teaching developed by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche on the basis of ancient, perhaps even eternal wisdom and principles of human behavior adopted in traditional pre-industrial societies of the East. This tradition is emphatically secular in nature and is not associated with the Buddhist teachings of Kalachakra. It is aimed at the manifestation in ordinary, everyday life of the principles of sacredness, dignity and military spirit.
