This book is about the greatest prayer book and intercessor of the Russian land, St. Sergius of Radonezh. Saint Sergius lived in the 14th century, when our Fatherland was languishing under the yoke of foreign conquerors, and the princes of the appanage were often at enmity with each other - he walked the Russian land, reconciling the warring. With his moral influence and prayerful intercession before the Lord, Saint Sergius inspired his compatriots to defend their Motherland and the Holy Church. For his extraordinary meekness and unceasing sincere standing before God, the monk was honored with the appearance of Angels and the Most Holy Theotokos herself, and even during his lifetime he earned the glory of a great miracle worker. From all over Russia, princes, boyars, and ordinary people came and came to the monastery of the Holy Trinity, knowing how pleasing to God the prayer of the righteous is, and the saint did not refuse help to anyone, comforting the grieving and healing the weak. St. Sergius of Radonezh is revered by the Orthodox Church as a special mourner for our land, the patron of the army and the mentor of monastics, and also as a prayer intercessor for children who want to succeed in teaching.
