The first edition of this book received a great response in the reader's environment and quickly became a bibliographic rarity. The present is significantly supplemented, includes new, previously unpublished works and materials from Chaadaev's epistolary legacy. Among them are the articles "On the Polish Question", "Letter from Ardatov to Paris", "1851", letters to I.V. Kireevsky, P.A. Vyazemsky, S.D. Poltoratsky, M.Ya. Chaadaev, A. Sirkur and other materials. The notes widely present the most important messages of Chaadaev's correspondents (Schelling, Pushkin, Tyutchev), as well as unknown archival data that clarify and deepen our understanding of the significance of his work in Russian culture and literature. The volume of new texts contains 10 AL, some of which were translated from French by the compiler of the book. Comment
