The book outlines a number of other issues related to the organization, training and education of the Russian regular army, which under Peter I became one of the most powerful armies in Europe.

This work is the result of a long study by the author of this topic. The material for the study was documents about the Northern War, published archival materials of the Central Military Historical Archive. According to the State Archive of the feudal-serf era, two funds were used - the cabinet files of Peter I and the files of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
