The protocols of interrogations in the Gestapo of Alexander Schmorell shed light on the amazing fate of our compatriot. A native of Orenburg, the son of a Russian mother and a German, Schmorell, being a citizen of the Reich and a student at the University of Munich, in 1942, together with his friend Hans Scholem, organized the German student resistance group "White Rose", which later gained fame throughout the world. After the failure of the "White Rose", arrested during an unsuccessful attempt to escape, Alexander, at the very first interrogation, told the Gestapo investigator about his hatred of National Socialism and love for Russia. Facsimile reproduction of documents accidentally discovered more than half a century after the end of the Second World War, and now stored in the trophy fund of the Russian State Military Archive, with a parallel translation into Russian.
