Igumen Damascene (in the world Vladimir Aleksandrovich Orlovsky; December 26, 1949, Moscow) is a Soviet and Russian church historian, hagiographer, candidate of historical sciences. Secretary of the Synodal Commission of the Moscow Patriarchate for the canonization of saints. Author of numerous articles and participant in scientific conferences on the history of the Russian Orthodox Church in the 20th century, as well as a series of television programs about the new martyrs and confessors of Russia. Member of the Writers' Union of Russia since 2001, head of the Foundation "Memory of Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Orthodox Church", member of the scientific and editorial council for the publication of the Orthodox Encyclopedia. Cleric of the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Lyshchikova Hill in Moscow. Author of seven books “Martyrs, Confessors and Devotees of Piety of the Russian Orthodox Church of the 20th Century” (1992–2002), compiler of a complete set of lives of the new martyrs and confessors of the Russian 20th century (currently published lives for January, February, March, April, May, June , as well as the lives of those saints whose memory is celebrated only in the Cathedral of New Martyrs). The lives compiled by Abbot Damascus were also published in the collections “Lives of the New Martyrs and Russian Confessors of the 20th Century of the Moscow Diocese” (Tver, 2002–2005. Vol. 1–5, add. 1–4). In 1997 he was awarded the Makariev Prize. In 2002 he was awarded the prize of the Union of Writers of Russia. In 2011, for the monograph “Bishop Hermogenes (Dolganev)” he was awarded the All-Russian Historical and Literary Prize “Alexander Nevsky”.

Дитмар Штюдеманн (Вельс/Австрия 1941-2022, Берлин) с 1972 г. работал в Министерстве иностранных дел, занимая должности в Москве, Афинах, Вене, Праге и Киеве. Большую часть своей профессиональной карьеры он провел в Москве, где стал свидетелем не только начала улучшения отношений между Востоком и Западом, но и распада Советского Союза. Во время его работы послом в Украине в 2004 году произошла "оранжевая революция".
Этот опыт сформировал его личность и интересы, которые часто выходили за рамки его обязанностей в качестве дипломата. Он увлекался литературой и культурой, интересовался историей и археологией, проявлял особый интерес к изобразительному искусству, что нашло отражение в его частной художественной коллекции.
