More info

Ukrainian writer Vasil Zemlyak entered the literature in the post-war period. He brought with him life experience gained during the Great Patriotic War. He was an active participant in the partisan struggle: from 1942 to 1944 - the commander of a partisan platoon, then the commander of a cavalry detachment.
The action of the new novel "Swan Flock" takes place in the late twenties in the wilderness of the Bug region, in the small village of Babylon. The author depicts the Ukrainian countryside at a time of profound social transformations, when sharp class clashes arose, passions boiled over, and new, socialist relations were born.
