Yuri Mamleev (1931–2015) — writer, philosopher. The creator of the direction of metaphysical realism in Russian prose. Winner of the Andrei Bely Prize. The book Voice from Nothing contains stories written in the 1970s–1980s.
Dorotea Shemyakina (1964–2018) — painter, book graphic artist, sculptor, jeweler. She illustrated the novels by Gustav Meyrink "The Golem" and Albert Camus "The Plague", a collection of Spanish poetry "Tauromachie". Hyper-realistic scenes of communal life in illustrations for Mamleev's stories are compared with the merciless grotesque of late Goya.
