A book by one of the most interesting poets of the 1920s. I. Sokolov (1902-1974), a young literary hooligan in those years, is today considered one of the founders of Russian literary expressionism. Having begun his literary career at the age of 14, Sokolov studied at the Studio of Poetry with V. Bryusov, V. Ivanov and A. Bely, and in 1919 he was admitted to the All-Russian Union of Poets, where he gathered around him a faction of expressionists. Sokolov printed his works in tiny brochures and small editions. Subsequently, he moved away from poetry and became a famous theater critic, film critic and bibliophile. The book contains the "Expressionist Charter" and a number of poems.
