Preparing the next edition of this already widely known book, the author, without expanding its total volume, replaced some of the articles and memoirs with his own works of recent years. A new section has been introduced into the book - "Notes on Art", which includes both articles published in the books "Conversation with Comrades" and "Today and Long Ago" and those published in 1975-1977 in the periodical press. Wider than in previous editions, the author's activities related to his participation in international writers' forums, his trips abroad and his correspondence with Western writers are reflected.
