"Baron Munchausen is an amazing dreamer, whose name has already become a household name. In each of his stories there is a place of amazing ingenuity and ingenuity that allow him to" "get out of the water""." The book of the German emigrant Rudolf Erich Raspe (1737-1794), which tells about the adventures of the baron, was published in England in 1875. Before her, an anonymous publication dedicated to the same historical person went from hand to hand. Her hero looked like an extremely negative character - a self-satisfied Prussian landowner, an arrogant fanfaron, a limited liar. Raspe turned Munchausen into a handsome man, whose name has become a household name. Meanwhile, the baron is a very real historical figure. Hieronymus Karl Friedrich Munchausen was born in Germany on May 11, 1720 and, despite his incredible adventures, lived to be 77 years old. For several years he served in the Russian army, participating in wars with the Turks. After retiring, the baron became famous as a storyteller of extraordinary stories and even published the book "Guide for merry fellows." The lifetime glory of the narrator and inventor brought Munchausen only grief and trouble. Relatives, accusing the baron of dishonoring their name, turned away from him. But he remained in literature and in our minds as a never discouraged, cheerful person. Compiled on the basis of literary reading programs of a comprehensive school.
