The action of the book is currently taking place in St. Petersburg. The "Thirteenth Edition", also known as the "Dead Master's House" is a place where people work selflessly fulfilling other people's desires. They have competitors who also grant wishes, but require in return to sign an agreement for the sale of the immortal soul, one thing. All heroes - both positive and negative, and those who grant wishes, and those who want their wishes to be fulfilled - are not endowed with any special superpowers. They are the most ordinary living people, with very human flaws and recognizable characters, in which the reader will see himself and his friends. The book is surprisingly kind and bright, and in a sense, psychotherapeutic, able to support in difficult times.
