This majestic city on the Neva, with which the most important events of Russian history are connected, was called as soon as possible - Northern Palmyra, Northern Venice, "the cradle of the Russian revolution." The proposed book contains a portrait of our northern capital.
The authors of the articles are well-known scientists and teachers of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov Institute of Geography and the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
