Карина

This book is based on real events in the lives of several people with whom the author was familiar. These were very extraordinary personalities, whose fates served as the basis for this novel about love and a bit about philosophy. An elderly "Spanish" professor who lived in Madrid, but was Italian in origin, accidentally meets a young Russian girl during one of his business trips to Berlin. He calls her for himself "Karina" (from Italian "my treasure"). Both of them, for certain reasons, had to emigrate from their homeland and go through a lot to find themselves in a new, “alien” world. Along the way, they meet both a kindred spirit and true passion. The book, in addition to "love passions", takes the reader on a trip to Chile, introduces the pyramids of Mexico, shows the highlights of Germany and the romance of hiking in the mountains in the North Caucasus. Karina is a collective image of young girls who emigrated abroad in the brutal nineties in search of a better life, the process of growing up which did not take place in their homeland. The story of "Karina" shows the path of a woman to herself and finding her own vocation in life, which she had to go through in conditions and circumstances that were not in favor of the heroine.
