The main place in the list of the composer's works is occupied by symphonic works - two symphonies, symphonic poems "Immersion", Transcensus and "Tornado", "Flickering Star in the Distance", performed in St. Petersburg and other cities of Russia. Among the choral compositions are the oratorio "The Tale of the Regiment" to the verses of Eremin and the cantata "The Soul Keeps" to the verses of Rubtsov. Turkina also owns chamber compositions that were performed abroad, and a lot of music for children, some of which has been published in collections for beginner flutists and pianists. The collection “First Steps” is a unique guide for beginners in learning to play the flute, consisting not of boring etudes, exercises and a huge amount of theoretical material, but of “real”, “live” music that a novice musician so wants to play. Clearly, in a simple and accessible form, both the basics of musical literacy necessary for playing the instrument and information from the field of music history are presented ...
