Dorothy Parker, nee Rothschild (1893 - 1967) was an American writer and poet of Jewish origin, known for her caustic humor, witticisms and insight.

In 1994, Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, directed by Alan Rudolph, was released. Jennifer Jason Leigh plays the lead role. The drama about the rise and fall of the famous American writer of the 20th century debunked numerous rumors and conjectures, showing the true life story of Dorothy Parker.
