The book of General P.N. Wrangel's memoirs includes his essays on the Russo-Japanese War (published after almost a hundred years of interruption) and selected fragments of his famous Notes, created in exile and relating to the period of the First World War and the Civil War.< br />The memoirs reflect the path of Wrangel from the cornet of the 2nd Argun Cossack regiment to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the South of Russia. They are based not only on personal memories, but also on numerous documents.
For the first time, Wrangel's Service Record and excerpts from letters devoted to the history of the creation of the Notes are published.
In addition, the book contains sayings of the Commander-in-Chief, where, in his characteristic aphoristic form, he outlined his views on politics, military affairs, emigration and the fate of Russia.
