The State Tretyakov Gallery is an outstanding monument of Russian and Soviet art culture, a treasury of Russian art. Over fifty thousand paintings, drawings and sculptures now make up her collections.
The publication includes not only descriptions, but also illustrations of the maximum number of works. Much attention is paid to the issues of attribution, origin and existence of monuments, their restoration. A significant part of the monuments has been published for the first time.
