In original publisher's cover in neo-Russian style. The issue includes news reviews and comments (“In search of a way out of the impasse” by M. Georgievich and “The Seasons” by N. Kharkov), Anatoly Makridi’s poem “Senya Chichkin” and A. Bondarev’s story “Influential Relative”, ridiculing Soviet reality. As well as a couple of letters to readers from various societies and unions, including religious and military ones. The journal ends with an appendix: "Bulletin of the People's Monarchist Union", marked with a curious vignette, and an excerpt from V. Fedonyuk's novel "How to be?".

Slight wear and stains on cover. Spine tears.

The magazine of the Russian community in Australia, reviewing news, literary novelties, and also including religious, military and anti-Soviet materials. Russian in Australia began publication in 1937, but lasted a little over a year. Almost 12 years later, in August 1950, the new publishers decided to revive the magazine, which was then published monthly under the editorship of Yuri Davidenkov, with illustrations and design by L. Linevich until the mid-1960s.
