The greatest attention in the Encyclopedia is paid to the main psychological and pedagogical issues of upbringing and education of the younger generation, issues of communist education, general issues of pedagogy, didactics, teaching methods, out-of-school and out-of-class work, as well as pedagogical and child psychology and physiology, defectology. A well-known place is given to issues that are not directly related to pedagogy: medical articles, articles on the state of public education in the USSR, the union and autonomous republics and in foreign countries. The encyclopedia contains articles about domestic and foreign teachers and educators.
