The book discusses a number of issues of the service of the peoples of the Caucasus in the Red Army in the context of Soviet national policy and the strengthening of repressive tendencies in the armed forces of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War. the role and functions of the Caucasian national troops in the Red Army and related political debates between the state and military leaders of the Caucasian national republics and the USSR.
