Many great and small miracles were performed in Russia by St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. But still, the Samara miracle, which we want to talk about, stands apart even among its other wondrous miracles. And not only because it happened in a time not so far from us - in 1956. Not only because the news of the miracle spread throughout the country. And not even because “The Standing of Zoya Kuibyshevskaya” strengthened the faith of thousands of people who lived at that time under the yoke of state atheism. We see another reason as the most important, although it is closely related to the above. Zoya's standing has long gone beyond the "historical time". It became not just a fact, not only an event. It has become part of church tradition, which is more reliable than any fact, since it reflects not only the external outline of events, but also reveals their symbolic, spiritual meaning, that is, it teaches faith.
