Sea robbery on all seas.

The author has included in a fairly small volume the history of piracy and the main events that influenced navigation generally. According to the Author, pirates appeared at the same time when people built a crab and began to sail the sea. The story begins in the Mediterranean, when valuable goods were exported from Africa during the Roman Empire. Sea travel, of course, took its greatest leap after Columbus's expedition to America. There were many people who wanted to follow the trodden path to find the path to the golden paradise. During this time, piracy flourished. Fast, maneuverable ships of the pirates were waiting for ships loaded with gold and were in a hurry to set their terms for them. It may seem surprising, but not everywhere sea robberies were considered a crime; there were times when a pirate was considered almost a hero. However, later the situation changed, and piracy began to be equated with high treason. Not only poor people and idle people became pirates - among them there were also nobles, unemployed sailors, escaped monks, soldiers or simply adventure lovers. It is also interesting how the crew divided the spoils among themselves. As a rule, the owner of the ship received a share of five times the amount spent on repairs and maintenance of the ship, and he also received a two-time share for his personal expenses. The navigator received a double share, and the remuneration of the ship's doctor and cook was stipulated separately. Injuries were also paid separately, so, for example, for the loss of an eye one could receive a slave as a reward. The stories of famous pirates, including women, are also collected here. So, a girl named Anne Bonny, the daughter of an American lawyer, fell in love with a sea robber and shared his fate as an eternal traveler and seeker of profit. An interesting book that fans of adventure literature will really like.
