Visions of Blessed Angela of Foligno (1248-1309), a Franciscan nun, canonized in 2013, is a monument to Catholic mysticism. Blessed Angela is one of the most touching saints, the spiritual daughter of St. Francis of Assisi. Translated from Latin by Lev Platonovich Karsavin (1882–1952), philosopher and medieval historian, professor and rector of Petrograd University (professor of Vilnius University in exile), repressed, died in prison; he also owns an extensive preface.
