"I planned a book about my stay in Israel back there, in Tel Aviv. The working title is "In the nest of Zionism" (a joke) or "Five years among the Jews" (and survived, added the local wits).
Returning to Moscow, I signed an agreement with the Zakharov publishing house. I undertook to hand over the manuscript no later than September 1, 1998. I sorted it out, sorted out the papers brought from Israel by topic and ran out of it. We had to adapt as quickly as possible to life in a new, unfamiliar country. Anxiety of the present, gloomy thoughts about the future did not allow focusing on the past."
