Cyrano de Bergerac is the main character in Edmond Rostand's heroic comedy of the same name. Brave, witty, passionate and romantic in love, a brilliant poet, he is only partly a fictional character. Cyrano de Bergerac is the name of a popular 17th-century French author. But already in 1858, the bibliophile Paul Lacroix prefaced the publication of his works with the apt phrase: "Everyone knows him, but no one has read him." Cyrano de Bergerac is the author of "pungent words", poems, plays, science fiction novels... Satirical messages directed against the "grey eminence" Mazarin brought Cyrano notoriety. This edition includes the novel "Another Light, or the States and Empires of the Moon", poetry and letters of Cyrano de Bergerac. The compiler, author of the comments and one of the translators is Mikhail Yasnov. About all this and not only in the book State and Empire of the Moon
