Soviet decorative art, developing centuries-old traditions, puts forward new principles. From the first days of October it was called upon to mobilize the forces and reserves of the revolution. The works collected in the book-album reflect this pathos of the struggle for freedom. At the same time, they show that the connection between times has not been broken, and much in decorative creativity has been multiplied. This applies to decorative plastic, porcelain, earthenware and other types of ceramics, glass, metal, artistic textiles and tapestry. The artists managed to create wonderful works both in the decorative arts themselves and in new types of aesthetic activities - organizing grandiose holidays, exhibitions, artistic design, and creating new ornaments. In many ways, they were the pioneers and founders of entire trends that were later developed in world art. The authors tried to note what is directly related to the decorative element in these areas, although it is impossible to cover everything. The material collected in the book-album has clearly defined boundaries. The album presents the art of professional artists.
