The author-architect talks about the most famous square in Moscow, about the formation of its ensemble. Kalanchevskaya (Komsomolskaya) Square in Moscow is often called the Three Stations Square. The issue of renaming the square and giving this “popular name” an official status is being discussed. The book is organized chronologically. By 1865, in the area of the former Kalanchevsky wasteland, three final passenger stations and three railway stations were formed: Nikolaevsky (Leningradsky), Yaroslavsky and Ryazansky (Kazansky). They became the Moscow "gates" respectively of the Nikolaev (from Moscow to St. Petersburg, 1853), Yaroslavl (reached Arkhangelsk by 1898) and Moscow-Kazan (first built to Ryazan, hence the original name of the station) railways. The Square of the Three Stations is not only the largest transport hub, but also one of the main historical and architectural sights of Moscow.
