It is with great pleasure that I present to you the work of my friend and colleague in architectural and construction activities in the Russian Federation, architect and artist Ivakin Anatoly Petrovich. We met him back in 1988 in Siberia, in the ancient city of Tobolsk, where he worked as deputy general director for the construction of the largest petrochemical plant in the Soviet Union. Our company "Brothers Karich" won at that time a tender for the design and construction of a "turnkey" hotel in the city of Tobolsk "Slavyanskaya" for 360 people. In addition, in just a few years, facilities such as a refrigerator for 6,000 tons and a maternity hospital for 120 beds were designed and built there. The direct participation of Anatoly Petrovich Ivakin in project management played a positive role in obtaining experience in construction in Siberia by our engineers. The company's strategy for finding new construction projects was based on attracting the best specialists from different countries to the staff of the enterprises of the BK holding, and therefore, already in 1990, Anatoly Petrovich was invited to work at the MKT-Karich joint venture in Moscow, and in 1994 In 2001, he headed our enterprise in St. Petersburg and became one of the first Russian employees who was awarded in 2001 a silver medal with the image of Danica and Janichy Karic "For ten years of dedicated and successful work at BK". Anatoly Petrovich came to St. Petersburg in 1994, to the company of the Karich family "Danyan SPb", the certificate of establishment of which was signed by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, at that time the head of the Committee for Foreign Economic Activity. A long time ago, back in 1994, I invited my friend Anatoly to come to Serbia and I remember how much I urged him to do this. I told him: “Anatoly, if I was able to adapt to cold and harsh Siberia and live and work here, then why couldn’t you come and live in favorable Yugoslavia? I'm sure it will come true one day." In 2009, during one of our meetings in Moscow, Anatoly Petrovich told me about his desire to complete the work of an architect and devote himself entirely to painting, which at first seemed even strange to me. But those skills and knowledge of the basics of fine arts, which he received at the architectural institute, allowed him to painlessly move into another profession absolutely organically. In 2015, Anatoly Petrovich Ivakin, together with his wife and daughter, came to Belgrade, but the result of his work is partially presented in this booklet.
