Бог говорит по-русски

After reading Sergei Minin's poems from the collection God Speaks Russian, published by Stella in 2019, Leo Tolstoy's article "I Can't Be Silent" comes to mind. In it, the great writer attacks the cruel Russian authorities, who mercilessly exploit the long-suffering peasants. More than half of the poems in the collection of Sergei Minin are devoted to the same topic - the topic, to put it mildly, of the difficult relationship between those in power and the people. We can say that this is journalism in verse, or what the famous critic and journalist Anatoly Sigalov called “poetry of truth.”*
