The fates of film director Natalya Voronova, investigator Igor Mashchenko and Siberian journalist Ruslan Nilsky intertwine in a bizarre pattern. A native Muscovite, Natalya, lives in a communal apartment and takes care of everyone who needs her help, from an elderly lonely neighbor to an early orphaned girl. Growing up in a prosperous wealthy family, Igor becomes an investigator and by chance comes into contact with the mysterious murder of his elder brother Ruslan Nilsky. Ruslan dedicates his life to unraveling the mystery of his brother's death and learning the truth about his death.
