Perhaps there is no book in modern Russian prose that recreates the holidays and everyday life of a major domestic airline in such a reliable and fascinating way as Diana Mashkova's dilogy "Aero-trans". The writer worked for Transaero for nine years, so almost all of her characters have real prototypes. Just like in A. Haley's "Airport", flight personnel have to work under conditions of extreme loads. Thanks to the heroic actions of the crew, incidents in the sky do not cause tragedy.
