Surprisingly, but a collection dedicated to the problems of teaching the classical guitar, perhaps the most popular instrument of our time, is being published in Russia for the first time. In it, the reader will find articles by contemporary domestic and foreign authors, which raise practical issues of guitar performance, suggest ways to improve the guitarist's technique, taking into account the current achievements of musical pedagogy. For the first time in Russian, the materials of the seminars of the outstanding contemporary guitarist D. Russell are published, as well as an article by S. Yeats, where the author compares various editions of the compositions of E. Vila-Lobos. The collection ends with a brief anthology of aphorisms by the greatest masters of the guitar art.
