Many children have great difficulty sitting still, they are constantly on the move, inattentive and easily distracted. In the language of medical terms, this behavior is called attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This diagnosis has now become quite common, even fashionable. Hyperactive children are often referred to as indigo children with outstanding abilities, but also having difficulties in communication. Non-standard behavior brings children a lot of problems: they cannot find a common language with their peers, do not live up to the expectations of their parents, are undisciplined and study poorly at school. Sometimes these problems pass along with the child into adulthood, interfering with successful socialization, career growth and personal life of a person. Hyperactive behavior can be corrected in childhood by combining medication and therapy. S. Harland in his book considers the issues of diagnosing hyperactivity, offers and analyzes the methods of treatment of both traditional and alternative medicine, which can bring positive results.
