The book "The Conflict of Interpretations" by the most prominent contemporary philosopher Paul Ricoeur, the full translation of which is presented in this edition, acquaints the reader not only with the original interpretation of the texts of Freud, Nietzsche, Marx, Heidegger, Bultmann, but also gives an idea of the methodological approach inherent in the phenomenological hermeneutics, the leading representative of which is Ricoeur. The purpose of this analysis is to explore the paths open to modern philosophy by what might be called the grafting of hermeneutic problems into the phenomenological method. Before undertaking such a study, the author took the liberty of making a brief historical digression, during which the meaning of existence should be clarified, in which the renewal of phenomenology with the help of hermeneutics would be reflected. Paul Ricoeur (fr. Paul Ricoeur, 1913-2005) is one of the most significant philosophers of the 20th century. Along with such thinkers as M. Heidegger, E. Husserl, G. Gadamer, L. Wittgenstein, he is one of the classics of modern philosophy.
