They often do not have a plot basis for the work - a chain of interconnected events, there is no plot in the sense to which we are so accustomed. The author rarely depicts human relationships in all their complexity and intricacy; dramatic situations and twists are infrequent in his books; in depicting characters, the writer sometimes strives for conventionality: apparently, this was not the main thing for him.

      The area of ​​life that is subject to Prishvin’s talent is nature and man in his relationship with it, and the plot of his best works is the movement of the author’s, and, consequently, the reader’s, attentive gaze in the natural world. It was as a narrator about the life of nature, about its joyful existence, as its singer that the writer entered the history of Russian literature.
