In the magazine "Frontiers", No. 52 "Phoenix" - a publication published by participants in poetry readings on the square near the monument to Mayakovsky at the end of April 1961. The magazine was made by a large circle of people, the well-known human rights activist and poet Yuri Galanskov was the chief editor and compiler. Poems by 21 poets were published in Phoenix, both participants in the readings and simply well-known poets in dissident circles (Boris Pasternak, Stanislav Krasovitsky, Natalia Gorbanevskaya). For most of the participants, the publication in Phoenix was a poetic debut. Authors: An. Vladimirov, Yu. Stefanov, N. Gorbanevskaya, A. Ivanov, A. Shukht, Ivan Kharabarov, B. Pasternak, Anatoly Shchukin, Vladimir Vishnyakov, Mikhail Verbin, V. Vishnyakov, Valentin Khromov, Viktor Kalugin, Aida Topeshkina, A. Gorchakov , S. Krasovitsky. A second issue of "Phoenix" was also planned, but the already printed copies were completely seized during a search from the apartment of Eduard Kuznetsov, the magazine's technical editor. The collection was sent abroad and published in full in No. 52 of the Grani magazine, 1962. Condition: Spine and edges reg. darkened. Corners are a little frayed.
