Trubetskoy Evgeny Nikolaevich (1863 - 1920) - philosopher, jurist, religious and public figure. Professor of Kyiv (1897-1905) and Moscow (1905-1917) universities. Participated in the organization and activities of the Psychological Society at Moscow University, the Religious and Philosophical Society. Vl. Solovyov and others. He was one of the initiators, ideologists and main participants in the publishing house "The Way" in Moscow in 1910-1917. He was one of the prominent members of the Cadet Party from the moment it was founded in October 1905. He published the liberal-conservative magazine Moscow Weekly (1906-1910); was a member of the State Council (1916-1917) and a member of the Church Council of 1917-1918. In the civil war he was with the Volunteer Army. In 1920, he died in Novorossiysk from typhus.
