1906 #1–52, except for ##16 and 40. Vestnik was published weekly until 1917. The structure of the publication consisted of two equal parts: official and unofficial. The official part published all the most important orders and resolutions of church and secular authorities (the Holy Synod, the Educational Committee, the Economic Department, etc.). In the unofficial part, information of a private nature was published (chronicles from the field, scientific and theological articles, explanations for the official part, news from abroad, advertisements and announcements, etc.). The supplements were published monthly in separate books. Many journal articles were not only reference, but also research in nature. In 1906-1907. Tserkovny Vestnik was a journal of the "reformation movement" in the Russian Orthodox Church. In March 1905, an intra-church "church-reform" movement emerged. It advocated the independence of the Church from officials and autocracy and the modernization of administrative and church life. The printed organ of the “left wing” of the church reformers in 1906 was the Church Bulletin. In the "Church Herald" various themes: participation of the clergy of the Russian Church in social and political events, the role of the laity in the Church, the composition of the Local Council, issues for discussion at the Council, the separation of the Church from the state, the “despotism” of the episcopate in relation to the ordinary clergy, the reduction in the share of monastics in the management of the Church and theological school, the revision of the meaning of asceticism in the spiritual tradition, the methods of Christianization of the social life and the development of church doctrine about such Christianization, second marriage for clergy and married episcopate, the degree of participation of the Church in the registration of acts of civil status. On January 19, 1906, the magazine published a "Project for Church Reforms". In March 1906, the journal published a report on the creation by the Constitutional Democratic Party of a “special commission” to develop a program on the church question (the program was compiled by professors V. O. Klyuchevsky, S. N. Bulgakov, S. A. Kotlyarevsky, P. I. Novgorodtsev and Prince P. D. Dolgorukov). It had provisions relating to church-state relations, regulated the property rights of the parish, protected the abbots of churches from the obligation of announcing state manifestos, decrees and other state orders from the pulpits, and repealed all legalizations that subordinated the Church to secular power. State of preservation: Spine lining with light spots. Crack between block and binding on page 5/6. Single strikethroughs in the margins of the pages. Page 594 printed on the back of page 595. 786-792 move away from the block.
