Gustave Aimard, a French writer of the mid-19th century, is the author of an extensive cycle of historical adventure novels. G. Emar spent most of his life traveling in North and South America, where he collected material for his novels. For some time he lived among wild tribes, which allowed him to accurately depict the way of life of the American Indians. His novels, possessing high skill, tension and dynamism, were very popular in many countries of the world, including pre-revolutionary Russia. The name of G.
